Story No.30
The secret of a success.
  • These days, I have a lot of extra expenses. I'm really worried. Still a lot of time before next payday.
  • What extra expenses? What's so special about this month?
  • This month is special because of my nephew's wedding. I also bought a new PC, had a new suit made and next week I'm going golfing!
  • You're spending way too much! You should save for a rainy day; you never know what life will bring next!
  • I have no clue how to save money with my kind of salary!
  • That's not true! Jeff, from your company, has saved about $100,000, apparently!
  • $100,000! That's fantastic! How did he manage to save that much?
  • It seems he leads a life style according to the phrase from a movie that we saw a while back. When asked about the secret of his success, his answer went something like this, ‘What would you do if a little water accumulated in a cup? Even if the cup were barely half filled, if you feel thirsty, you would drink the water, right? It's wrong. That's why no matter how much time passes; the cup will never fill up to the brim. The most important thing is to have patience and to sip the water until the water overflows.’
  • Hmm...! But I had better drink the water when I'm thirsty.
